The former England captain’s lawyers are holding talks with LA Galaxy about the possibility of extending his loan at AC Milan until the end of the season.

AC Milan’s chief executive Adriano Galliani told AC Milan’s official website earlier today about his desire to see David Beckham’s loan extended until the end of the season, or even better, the possibility of a permanent move to the Rossoneri.

“His lawyers are in talks with Los Angeles Galaxy, but there is no negotiation at the moment. We are looking to get him either on loan until the end of the season or on a permanent basis. Otherwise, with the greatest regret from everyone – starting with me – Beckham will have to go.”

The 33-year-old midfielder has been in top notch form since his loan move to Milan and has had a massive impact, starting nearly every game since his arrival.
Since his move to Italy, Golden Balls has scored two impressive goals and has had a hand in several assists in only 5 appearances.

Since his arrival in January, AC haven’t lost a game and have only drawn twice – a run of results that has that has propelled Milan into second place in Serie A. Delighted with Beckham’s contribution, AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti told Sky Italia:

“The Scudetto race would be much easier for us if he stays. He has given us a new boost in quality and in enthusiasm, he has given this team an added extra. He has given a great contribution that we didn’t expect.”

However, both Ancelotti and Galliani have stated that they are powerless to get Beckham to stay due to a written agreement between the player and LA Galaxy that they can’t break.
