Tennis icon John McEnroe believes that Roger Federer and Andy Murray are the players who are most likely to go all the way at Flushing Meadows as the US Open gets underway on Monday.

It was Murray and Federer who fought it out in last year’s final with the Swiss coming out on top, but the 22-year-old Scot has outlined the US Open as his favourite of the four Grand Slams.

Federer will be looking to secure a record 16th Grand Slam of his career at the final Grand Slam of the year.
