Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti believes he has brought “personality” to the Stamford Bridge club after taking over from Guus Hiddink last summer.

The 50-year-old insists that his side are not under pressure following a recent slump in form and will be looking to return to winning ways at St Andrews in the lunchtime kick-off on Boxing day.

Chelsea have only managed to secure one win in all competitions since their 3-0 demolishing of Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on November 29.

“I think that Chelsea have shown a new play in the last year, and shown personality and identity,” said the Italian.

“Sometimes we can play well. Sometimes we don’t play such a good match. But every game Chelsea play, [it is] with personality, with a particular system of play and, also, with a good identity.”

He added that he does not believe his job is on the line following the Blues’ recent disappointing run of results.

“I never think that if I don’t win games Roman will remove me. My aim is to do the best for this club, as I have done for other clubs.”

Chelsea get the Premier League festive schedule underway on Boxing day while Arsenal host Aston Villa on Sunday and Manchester United travel to Hull.
