Robinho confirms Man City exit desire

Robinho has revealed that he is looking to leave Manchester City after Roberto Mancini reportedly told the striker he would only play once every two games.

The Brazilian, who scored in City’s 4-2 victory over Scunthorpe in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday, was speaking to a radio station from his homeland and confirmed that he is looking to leave Eastlands.

“The coach was very sincere with me and said that I would play every other match,” he told Radio Bandeirantes.

“I told him that would not be interesting to me, it’s a World Cup year.”

It would appear that being substituted after coming off the bench against Everton last weekend was the final straw for the unsettled striker and his comments concerning his exit will not come as a surprise to many.

The 25-year-old went on to say that his happiness was more important than his wage packet.

“The financial situation is important, but being happy also counts,” he added.
