I see your point Ben. However, with Man U’s budgets they will always be able to field a strong side. Certainly good enough to beat the likes of us. Wolves are struggling to tread water with the 11 strongest. They often look like they don’t try to win a game! ; )

There is a world of difference between the United example and what Wolves did.

United rested players but fielded a team good enough to win – as they did, comfortably. Wolves did not try to win the game, or even compete in it.

Whether it was right or wrong – it’s very different.

Rules are rules but the playing field has to be levelled and Wolves have made a good point by accepting the fine and taking the moral high ground. Hopefully the message will be heard up there at the dizzy heights of the league table.
