David Trezeguet’s agent has revealed Liverpool are amongst the parties interested in securing his client’s signature before the transfer window closes next Tuesday.

Reports in the Italian media suggested Roy Hodgson has made an enquiry for the Juventus’ forward with the Reds boss keen to add more experience to an already-stretched attacking line-up.

French international Trezeguet has struggled to retain a regular starting place in recent seasons. The 32-year-old has fallen behind Amauri, Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta in the pecking order at Juventus.

“An interest of Liverpool? There are requests, not just of Liverpool,” said Trezeguet’s representative, Antonio Caliendo.

“In Spain there is the interest of Real Zaragoza and Hercules. We are considering [offers], today is a day of reflection, we will know more tomorrow.”

The news comes after Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani returned to Serie A when he joined Juventus on a season-long loan.
