Real Madrid legend Raúl scores brace on Schalke debut

Former Real Madrid striker Raúl scored twice in FC Schalke’s 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the final of the Liga Total! Cup.
The 33-year-old, who left Real Madrid last week after 18 years at the Bernabéu, equalised for Schalke after Namen Mujic had given the reigning German champions the lead.
Brazilian forward Edu created the opening with his shot rebounding of the post into the path of Raúl, who neatly tucked the ball into the vacant net.
In addition Edu scored his first goal for Schalke shortly before half-time. The former VfL Bochum forward surged into the box and unleashed a stinging shot past the Bayern keeper Rouven Sattelmaier to put Schalke into the lead.
However it was Raúl who created the memorable moment of the final after 33 minutes. The all-time record Champions League goalscorer received the ball on the edge of the area and audaciously chipped the stranded Sattelmaier.
It capped a perfect introduction to German football for the Real Madrid legend.
