Eden Hazard has told Lille he wants to leave the Ligue 1 side at the end of the season to join a “bigger club”.

The highly-rated 20-year-old Belgium international has been linked with a number of top European clubs of late, including Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as Bayern Munich and Internazionale.

And the attacking midfielder, who has netted four goals for Lille this term, is keen to secure a move to another European league at the end of the current campaign.

“I am ready to move on and make the next step in my career at a bigger club,” Hazard told L’Equipe.

“I wanted to stay with Lille this term, because I still had things to prove here. I now feel ready to move to a bigger club though. I am ready to make an impact at a foreign club.”

Hazard has also played down the chances of him joining Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain. “Paris is magical and I’m definitely attracted to the city,” he added.

“It’s not for now though. I don’t want to join another French team and strengthen one of Lille’s rivals. That would be the wrong thing to do.”
