The Gunners captain, who won the English top flight’s golden boot after netting 30 goals for the Londoners to help Arsène Wenger’s men clinch a third-place finish, has yet to commit his future to Arsenal.
Van Persie, 28, has a year left on his current deal and is understood to have attracted interest from Manchester City and Juventus as he continues to stall over a new contract at Emirates Stadium.
And Ramsey admits it is crucial that the Gunners retain the services of the Holland international if they are to challenge for major honours next season – but he remains hopeful the forward will stay in north London.
“It’s important we keep Robin if we seriously want to be title contenders,” Ramsey told The Sun on Sunday.
“He has proven this season what his value is to the team with the goals he has scored. It’s important to keep those sort of players at the club.
“He was our top goalscorer, won the Golden Boot and the Player of the Year awards, so any team would want to keep him. Arsenal are no different.
“He hasn’t given any of the other lads any indications on what he is going to do. Nothing has been said. But, hopefully, he will stay.”
