Our European man-in-the-know is tipping Juventus to see off their legendary striker Del Piero in fine style, with plenty of goals while maintaining their impressive defensive record.
Del Piero is set to leave Juventus after the Coppa Italia final, calling time on a 19-year career in Turin. The 37-year-old has ended the season with a flourish, netting a goal in his final Serie A game, and four in his last nine appearances. And El Tipstro is backing the veteran to sign off in style with a goal against Napoli at 11/10.
Juventus were 3-0 winners when Walter Mazzari’s side made the trip to Turin over a month ago. Antonio Conte’s men completed an unbeaten season to pick up the Scudetto and have won their last four games in the Coppa Italia. El Tipstro believes Juventus to beat Napoli is a good bet at 19/20.
This fixture has produced plenty of goals in recent seasons, with Conte’s side easing to a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Mirko Vučinić, Artur Vidal and Fabio Quagliarella in April. There last five meetings have produced at least three goals, with Juve winning 3-0 against Napoli in the Italian Cup in 2010. So over 2.5 goals looks a solid bet at 21/20.
Juventus have kept a clean sheet against Napoli in seven of their last nine meetings in Turin. Conte’s side boast an imperious defensive record this season, conceding just 20 goals in Serie A. Furthermore, the newly-crowned Italian champions have kept 22 clean sheets in all competitions. So El Tipstro is backing Juventus to beat Napoli without conceding at 21/20.
Confidence levels should be high at Juve following their league title success, and Conte’s side will look to make a strong start in their bid to complete the double. Juventus took the lead in the first half and went on to extend their advantage after the interval in eight league games this season. So El Tipstro’s ambitious long shot for this edition is for Juventus to win both halves at 7/2.
