Eden Hazard has confirmed he will be joining Chelsea this summer after declaring he is to sign for the “European champions” via his Twitter account on Monday.

The 21-year-old had been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League this summer and is believed to have attracted interest from Manchester City, Manchester United as well as Chelsea.

Chelsea and Lille are yet to confirm that any deal has been reached for the Belgium international.

The playmaker had earlier sent the transfer rumour mill into overdrive by confirming he had chosen which club he will join on Twitter but did not disclose its identity.

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra had recently urged Hazard to join him at Old Trafford if he wants to win silverware.

“I’m not his father but, if he comes to Manchester, I assure him that he will win titles,” Evra told the Manchester Evening News. “That’s if he joins my Manchester, not the Blue side.”
