Ronaldo finally ended his wait for a goal at Euro 2012 with a spectacular brace against the Netherlands as the former Manchester United forward produced a world-class performance. The 27-year-old was in similarly prolific goal scoring form for Real Madrid, netting 46 goals in La Liga last season. When these two countries met at Euro 2008, goals from Deco, Ronaldo and Ricardo Quaresma helped secure a 3-1 victory for Portugal. In qualifying for this European championship, the Portuguese won four of their eight games by a two-goal margin, including a 3-1 win over Denmark in Porto.
