Sweden v England: Why Man Utd’s Danny Welbeck is set to net
The Tipster is backing Manchester United's Danny Welbeck to score for England against Sweden in their Group D clash

England began their Euro 2012 campaign in solid fashion with a respectable draw, but Tipster reckons the Three Lions’s tie against Sweden will be more open, and is backing Danny Welbeck to score on Friday.
Our resident betting expert is backing over 2.5 goals between England and Sweden, while predicting Karim Benzema to score for France in a resounding victory over co-hosts Ukraine in Group D.

Friday’s Euro 2012 fixtures:
Ukraine v France (1700) Donetsk, Group D
Sweden v England (1945) Kiev, Group D
Welbeck to score any time for England against Sweden – 2/1
The Manchester United striker was largely isolated against the French in an industrious performance from England on Monday. With Andy Carroll rumoured to be starting alongside him, Roy Hodgson’s men are likely to be more attack-minded in a must win match against Sweden on Friday. So The Tipster’s opening bet for this edition is for Danny Welbeck to score at any time against the Swedes at solid odds of 2/1.
Bet365 odds
Over 2.5 goals in England v Sweden – 23/20
England will be looking to build on their draw with France when they face Sweden in Kiev. All 10 of Sweden’s Euro 2012 qualifying matches finished with over 2.5 goals, as well as the Scandinavians’s first match of the tournament against Ukraine. With both teams going for the win to catch Ukraine at the top of the group, the Tipster reckons over 2.5 goals looks an excellent bet in this one at 23/20.
Bet365 odds
Benzema to score any time for France against Ukraine – 6/4
The Real Madrid striker will be looking to add to the 15 goals he has for the French national side and he will fancy his chances against a Ukraine defence that looked very shaky in their opening group game, particularly goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov. Benzema scored 24 goals in 31 La Liga appearances, so off the back of a successful domestic season, he looks great value to net in this one at 6/4.
Bet365 odds
France to beat Ukraine by two goals or more – 3/1
After drawing with England in their opening match, France will be desperate for the victory against Ukraine. Laurent Blanc’s side are unbeaten since losing to Belarus in qualifying back in September 2010, while Ukraine will be likely to set up defensively after their opening win against Sweden. Les Bleus to win by two goals or more is a great shout at 3/1.
Bet365 odds
The long shot: England to win 2-1 against Sweden – 12/1
Roy Hodgson’s short time in charge of national team has already seen England improve as a defensive unit. Successive 1-0 victories over Norway and Belgium were followed by a 1-1 draw with France in their opening Group D game. If England beat Sweden, it will be by the narrowest of margins, and so the Tipster’s audacious long shot for this edition, is for the Three Lions to win 2-1 at tempting odds of 12/1.
