Man Utd’s Dimitar Berbatov ‘interested in Serie A move’
Dimitar Berbatov's agent, Emil Dantchev, says the Manchester United striker is keen on a move to Serie A this summer

Dimitar Berbatov is interested in a move to Serie A if the Bulgarian striker is allowed to leave Manchester United this summer, according to the player’s agent.
The 31-year-old has scored 56 goals in 149 appearances for the Red Devils after completing his £30.75m move from Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford on the final day of the summer transfer window in 2008.
Berbatov, capped 77 times by Bulgaria, has won two Premier League titles since joining the 19-time English champions, but the forward has fallen out-of-favour with United manager Sir Alex Ferguson over the past couple of seasons.
Despite finishing as the Red Devils top scorer with 20 goals in 2010-11, Berbatov made just 12 league appearances last season as he slipped further down the pecking order behind Javier Hernández, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck.
The former Bayer Leverkusen striker has been linked with a move to West Ham United, but Berbatov’s agent Emil Dantchev admits a move to Serie A would appeal to his client.
“He may leave Manchester United at any time. His most likely destination is Italy, he’s always loved Italian football,” said Dantchev.
“I know that Milan and Juventus are looking for a striker. I can say that they are two big clubs.
“I cannot say much but I do say that Berbatov likes Milan and looks good in red and black.
“Dimitar would run to AC Milan, because the club have appreciated him for years. They will have to speak with Manchester United and start negotiations.” ![]()
