Sturridge has a point to prove to Roy Hodgson after being left out of England’s Euro 2012 squad. The 22-year-old has done a superb job so far for Team GB’s football team, scoring against the United Arab Emirates and netting the winner in a 1-0 victory over Uruguay. Team GB are still unbeaten at the Olympics following a 1-1 draw with Senegal in the opening game and successive victories over the UAE and Uruguay. South Korea managed a 2-1 win against Switzerland, but were held to back-to-back goalless draws in their other two Group B games. So Team GB to move into the semi-finals is an excellent bet at 11/10.

South Korea have only managed to score in one of their three games so far, securing 0-0 draws against Gabon and Mexico. Santos’ Neymar is the star of the Olympic football tournament in the absence of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – and of course David Beckham. Chelsea striker Sturridge is Team GB’s form player and it was the former Manchester City star’s goal that separated the hosts and Uruguay in their last outing.
