Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku willing to go on loan to get first-team action
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku wants to stay in England but admits he may have to go out on loan to get first-team football

Romelu Lukaku has emphasised his desire to stay in the Premier League – but the Chelsea striker admits he may be forced to go on loan in search of first-team action.
The 19-year-old made a measly eight appearances in a frustrating season for the Belgium international after completing a £19m move from Anderlecht to Stamford Bridge last summer.
Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has already recruited Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Oscar this summer, but Lukaku is desperate to avoid another campaign spent on the fringes of the Blues’ squad.
“I did not sign for Chelsea to go into another championship,” said Lukaku. “Now I must play. It all depends on the choice of the coach and myself. I’m not someone who bangs his fist on the table.
“I have to move on to another level. I will do everything to get better.
“I have talked with the manager. I have very good contact with him. We will try to find the best solution for both parties.” ![]()
