QPR’s Alejandro Faurlín: I feel like I’ve come back to life
Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlín feels like he has "come back to life" after returning from injury on Sunday

Alejandro Faurlín admits it feels “great to be back” in the Queens Park Rangers’ first-team after the midfielder made his return from injury on Sunday.
The 25-year-old has been out of action for the past seven months after the Argentine ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in QPR’s 1-1 draw with MK Dons in the FA Cup back in January.
Faurlín made his comeback for the Hoops in their 2-2 draw with Bundesliga outfit Augsburg, and he revealed his delight at being be back training with QPR following his prolonged spell on the sidelines.
“It felt great to be back,” Faurlin told QPR’s website. “It’s been a really tough six and a half months for me. It’s been a long time, with a lot of hard work.
“The support I’ve had from my family; my wife; my team-mates; everyone at the club – it has been amazing and it means so much to be back playing.
“I feel like I’ve come back to life!”
Faurlín has scored five goals in 105 appearances for QPR since moving from Instituto in 2009, and the midfielder is expecting to regain full fitness over the next three weeks.
“I felt relaxed out there,” he added. “It was only 15 minutes but it meant the world to me.
“It gives me something to build on now and I can’t wait for the season to start.
“I still need some more minutes over the next few weeks. I need to play some more football and then hopefully I’ll be ready.” ![]()
