Queens Park Rangers have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for Esteban Granero.

The 25-year-old’s potential move to London hinges on the midfielder agreeing personal terms and completing a medical, and QPR fans admitted they were stunned by Granero’s possible switch to the Loftus Road outfit on Twitter.

Here are some of the Tweets that caught our eye.

Josh Green (@Greeeeeny) can’t believe the latest transfer story breaking at QPR: “QPR agree few for Esteban Granero. Am I seeing things?! Bloody hell QPR you’ve basically bought a new team!”

Luke Thomas Martin ([email protected]) still thinks the Hoops will be relegated: “Granero is an amazing signing for QPR . . . They are going to be amazing in the Championship next season!”

Rob Harrison ([email protected]) believes Granero should be joining a more established top-flight club than QPR: “Esteban Granero is worthy of more than QPR. He should definitely be playing Champions League football.”

Jitesh Mistry ‏(@JMist91) points out the sudden change in fortunes: “A day in the life of Granero: Wednesday wins Spanish Super Cup, Thursday signs for QPR = end of career #gutted!”

Tanesh Vijayagomaran ‏(@leTanesh) lists all of QPR’s signings: “#QPR have signed amazing players over the summer. Ji-Sung Park, Fabio, Andy Johnson, Rob Green, Julio Cesar, Junior Hoilett, Ryan Nelsen, Samba Diakite and now Granero. WOW!

Liam Kent ‏(@LDKLUFCAFC) reckons QPR’s midfield is shaping up nicely: “With Granero, Ji-Sung Park, Adel Taarabt, Alejandro Faurlín and Shaun Wright-Phillips, QPR have good strength of depth in midfield now. Just need them to click.”

Pritam ‏(@pritamarsenal) feels Granero was unlucky at Madrid: “Granero & Pedro Leon – find them very similar but the latter has had terrible luck..Granero will finally be able to start for a team. #QPR”

Im Samuel ([email protected]) is worried QPR could be headed the same way at Portsmouth – into administration: “Worried about QPR’s huge summer spending this season. After Granero as their tenth signing this summer they could end up broke like Portsmouth!”

Nande Ngxwana ([email protected]) can’t understand how QPR are managing to sign all these big names: “How are QPR doing this? They are making incredible signings – now Granero and Júlio César!”

Mr TM ([email protected]_26) can’t believe the crazy transfer stories: “These transfers are getting crazy!! Dimitar Berbatov to Fulham, Granero to QPR. What next, Neymar to Scunthorpe? #Madness”

Steve Patrick ([email protected]) wants the lowdown on Granero: “Can someone give me a rundown on Granero. I know nothing about him. I’d like to know what we are signing!”

Kevin Rankin ([email protected]) reckons it’s a quality signing: “QPR sign Granero??? That is a joke – he is a quality player! What a waste of talent!”
