Ryo Miyaichi is reportedly on the verge of a loan move to Wigan Athletic as Roberto Martínez looks to find a replacement for Chelsea-bound Victor Moses.

The Blues are reportedly close to completing a deal for Moses, and both Arsenal and Wigan supporters voiced their support for Miyaichi’s possible move to the DW Stadium on Twitter.

Here are some of the Tweets that caught our eye.

Arsenal fan Darren Wright (‏@_Wrighty7) believes it would be a good move for Miyaichi: “If Ryo Miyaichi goes to Wigan on loan for the season I’d say ‘Hellllllll yeah’. It would be great for him. In my very honest opinion!”

Assurance Akhabue ‏(@Assurancepolicy) reckons Miyaichi is being lined up to replace Moses: “Wigan boss Roberto Martínez wants Arsenal’s Japanese star Ryo Miyaichi on loan – to fill Victor Moses’ boots.”

Kiran Mistry ‏(@kikimistry) is impressed by Miyaichi’s virtual pace: “Miyaichi could take Usain Bolt any day. 96 acceleration on Fifa!”

While Kunat Svanakul ‏(@toy221296) believes Miyaichi would make great strides at Wigan: “Ryo Miyaichi will gain a lot from Wigan as they produced many great wingers such as Valencia, Moses and N’Zogbia. #AFC#WAFC”

Jack gunner ‏(@Cazorla_AFC_FAN) feels that joining Wigan would be better than the midfielder dropping down a league: “Ryo Miyaichi about to join Wigan Athletic on loan, is better than him going to Championship. Hope he does well he started well at Bolton.”

And Mark Flitcroft (‏@markflitcroft) was surprised to see Miyaichi missing from Japan’s Olympic squad: “I’ve got to say I’m quite surprised Japan didn’t take Ryo Miyaichi to the Olympics!”

Mark Fairhurst ‏(@fuzz62) hasn’t seen too much of Miyaichi: “So Ryo Miyaichi linked with Wigan if Moses goes .. I remember a few games from him but not all that many … is he a step up or step down?”

But Gunners fan Immanuel Mugendi (‏@epimmanuel) wants the Japan star to be given a chance at Arsenal: “I don’t want Ryo Miyaichi to be loaned again!”

The Football Front ‏(@ReviewFootball) thinks it is a good deal: “Reports say Ryo Miyaichi is wanted by Wigan on loan. Think this deal would benefit all three parties. Under Roberto Martínez I think Miyaichi will develop.”

Finally, TomGunnerAFC (‏@TomGunnerAFC) would support the loan deal: “Wigan want Ryo Miyaichi? It would be a good move for him in my opinion. Until January maybe, with option to extend to end of the season.”
