The Tipster is relishing another big weekend in the Premier League – and is backing Jermain Defoe to help Tottenham Hotspur cause an upset against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Our resident betting expert is predicting over 2.5 goals in Saturday’s late kick-off, but is tipping Spurs to win.

Meanwhile, our man-in-the-know is backing both sides to score when Chelsea take on Arsenal at The Emirates, although he ultimately expects the match to finish in a draw.

Defoe to score at any time for Tottenham v Man Utd – 11/5

The 29-year-old Defoe has scored four Premier League goals in five appearances for Spurs this term. The striker has returned to top form under new manager André Villas-Boas and should lead the Tottenham line on Saturday. So The Tipster is backing Defoe to score for Spurs against United at great odds of 11/5.

Over 2.5 goals in Man Utd v Tottenham – 4/6

United and Tottenham should put on an entertaining spectacle at Old Trafford, with plenty of attacking players on display. Ferguson’s side were 3-0 winners in this fixture last term, before going on to secure 3-1 victory at White Hart Lane. With those results in mind, the Tipster is backing over 2.5 goals in United v Spurs at 4/6.

Arsenal and Chelsea to draw – 12/5

Arsenal have impressed the neutrals this season, with the Gunners showing a new steely resistance. Chelsea sit on top of the table, and aside from defeats in the Community Shield and Uefa Super Cup, are unbeaten this term. The Tipster is backing the draw at 12/5 in Saturday’s early kick-off.
Bet365 odds

Both teams to score in Arsenal v Chelsea – 4/6

Arsenal and Chelsea both approach this big game fresh from six-goal victories in the Capital One Cup. Aside from a goalless draw in April, there have been 12 goals in their last three meetings. The Tipster is backing both sides to score at tempting odds of 4/6.

The long shot: Tottenham to beat Man Utd – 5/1

United have been largely below-par this season – this was epitomised by a fortuitous victory over Liverpool last weekend. With Moussa Dembélé in rich form and United’s midfield struggling, Spurs will fancy their chances in this one. Tottenham have won their last two games, and the Tipster’s ambitious long shot is for Villas-Boas’ side to beat United at brilliant odds of 5/1.
