Frank Lampard is certain that Chelsea are still contenders for this season’s Premier League title.

The Blues are currently in third place in the table after Lampard’s double secured a 2-1 win at Everton on Sunday.

Chelsea are four points behind second-placed Manchester City but have a game in hand.

And Lampard is convinced that Rafael Benitez’s men will continue to challenge for the title ahead of Wednesday’s clash against rock-bottom Queens Park Rangers at Stamford Bridge.

“Of course we can still win the league, it is possible,” said Lampard.

“If we concentrate on ourselves, win our games, put a long run together and we can put pressure on Man United, who knows?

“It’s the position we’ve put ourselves in because we had a funny run in November and December and we were top and now all of a sudden we are adrift – but we can’t look back at that.”

Chelsea are 11 points behind Premier League pace-setters Manchester United.
