Michu has insisted he is “happy” at Swansea City despite speculation linking him with potential moves to Liverpool or Atlético Madrid.

The Spanish forward scored two goals in a 4-3 loss to Norwich City on Saturday, taking his tally to 12 Premier League goals this term.

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup snapped up Michu from Rayo Vallecano in a £2m deal this summer after he netted 15 goals in the Spanish top flight last season.

And while Michu admitted he found talk of Atlético’s interest flattering, the 26-year-old says he is very happy at the Liberty Stadium outfit.

“Right now I’m happy, playing almost every minute and I’m very happy,” Michu told Radio Marca.

“It is always nice that you get talked about with teams like Atlético Madrid, one of the largest in Spain, but now I am very happy in Swansea.”
