Stevan Jovetic insists he has no intention of leaving Fiorentina amid reported interest from Manchester City.

City boss Roberto Mancini was understood to have lined up a €30m (£24.4m) bid for the Montenegrin midfielder in the summer but a move failed to materialise.

The Manchester City boss is a keen admirer of the 23-year-old, who has netted 33 goals in 113 appearances for the Serie A outfit since moving to Florence in 2008.

But Jovetic has poured water on speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League by stressing that he is happy at the Stadio Artemio Franchi for now.

“I’m fine here in every way. We’re playing well and winning games, which is important,” said Jovetic.

“At the moment there is no way I will leave Fiorentina although in the life of a footballer you can never be 100 per cent sure of anything.”
