Fulham transfers: Roma's Maarten Stekelenburg looks set to stay at the Serie A club beyond January, according to the keeper's agent

Maarten Stekelenburg is set to stay at Roma beyond the January transfer window despite interest from Fulham, according to the player’s agent.
The Cottagers have been linked with a move for the 30-year-old as Martin Jol looks to find a long-term replacement for veteran shot-stopper Mark Schwarzer.
With David Stockdale moving to Hull City on a six-month loan, there has been mounting speculation that Fulham are about to sign a goalkeeper.
Stekelenburg is currently out of favour at Roma, with i Lupi manager Zdeněk Zeman starting Mauro Goicoechea ahead of the Dutch star.
But the former Ajax goalkeeper’s agent Rob Jansen insisted there have been no “concrete” bids submitted for Stekelenburg and expects his client to stay at the Rome outfit.
“At the moment there are just rumours and journalistic speculation,” Jansen told calciomercato.it.
“We have yet to receive a concrete offer, so it is therefore probable that he will stay at Roma in January rather than leave.
“We know what is moving in the goalkeeping market, but nothing has been decided.” ![]()
