Marseille director of football Jose Anigo has insisted Loïc Rémy is “1,000% a L’OM player” despite speculation linking the France international with a move to Newcastle United.

Magpies manager Alan Pardew is on the hunt for a new striker after Demba Ba finally completed his much-anticipated move to Chelsea on Friday.

Remy has been a long-term target of Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp, with the 65-year-old also repeatedly linked to Rémy during his time at Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Anigo has moved to end any doubt over the forward’s future at Marseille, who are currently third in Ligue 1, insisting Rémy is staying at the Stade Vélodrome.

“He’s here. He’s training. He’s 1000% an OM player,” Anigo said.

“We’re not talking about anything else. As things stand today, there is no offer.”

Remy, 26, has scored two goals in 12 appearances for Marseille this term.
