Juan Fernando Quintero could move to a “European giant” in the summer transfer window, according to the Pescara midfielder’s agent.

The Colombian is currently on loan at Serie A’s Pescara from his parent club Atletico Nacional, scoring one goal in 14 appearances in Italy’s top flight this term.

Pescara have first option on the 20-year-old, who has attracted interest from a host of top clubs over the past few months, including Manchester United.

The Serie A minnows are expected to sign the South American at the end of the season before selling Quintero at a profit to one of his interested suitors.

The Colombia Under-20 international’s agent Riccardo Calleri confirmed that his client is being chased by a number of clubs, reported to include Inter Milan, and hinted Quintero could seal a big-money move in the summer.

“He is a player who has many admirers in Italy and the big clubs would like him,” Calleri told TMW.

“However, it would be easier to see him move to a European giant seeing as he is being followed heavily by foreign sides.”
