Asmir Begovic insists he is focused on Stoke City amid speculation linking the goalkeeper with a move to Manchester United.

The Serbia international has been one of the Premier League’s standout goalkeepers over the past 18 months, prompting reports linking the Potters shot-stopper to Arsenal and United.

Stoke manager Tony Pulis snapped up highly-rated Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland in the January transfer window before loaning the England international back to St Andrew’s until the end of the season.

Unsurprisingly, Butland’s signing has sparked reports suggesting that Begovic could be set to leave the Britannia Stadium in the summer, but the Serb is refusing to get distracted by transfer gossip.

“I must confess it is nice to hear these things. It is always nice to hear what others are saying, it means that you are doing a good job,” Begovic told SportSport.

“But I have no time to think about this. My only concern is Stoke City as I want to be as good as I can be for my club, and for my national team.

“So quite simply, I really don’t have any time to think about a move or anything else.”
