Cavani to score three goals or more for Uruguay v Tahiti – 7/5

Diego Forlan and Luis Suárez have both scored in the Confederations Cup but Chelsea and Manchester City target Cavani is yet to open his account. The Napoli striker netted 28 Serie A goals last season and the clash with Tahiti will be a vital chance to find his goal-scoring touch ahead of the semi-finals. Misfiring Fernando Torres managed to net four goals against Tahiti, so the Tipster is backing Cavani to score three goals or more at 7/5.

Both teams to score in Nigeria v Spain – Evens

Nigeria’s hopes of qualifying for the next round of the Confederations Cup look slim. Stephen Keshi’s men must beat the reigning world champions to have any hope of reaching the last four and the Super Eagles can take hope from the fact they’ve scored in each of their games at this tournament. Uruguay managed to find the net against Spain, and the Tipster is backing both sides to score at evens.

Soldado to score any time in Nigeria v Spain – 8/15

Fernando Torres and David Villa may have shared seven goals in the 10-0 victory over Tahiti but the Tipster expects Vicente del Bosque to restore Roberto Soldado to the starting line-up. The Valencia man netted a super strike in a 2-1 victory over Uruguay in the opening game. And our resident betting expert is backing the prolific finisher to score against at 8/15.

Over 3.5 goals and Spain to beat Nigeria – 6/4

Whilst the Tipster expects the Super Eagles to go all out for the victory, he reckons Spain will have too much for the Nigerians. Spain have already racked up 12 goals in two games – albeit aided by a clash against Tahiti. Meanwhile, there has been over 2.5 goals in both of Nigeria’s outings. The Tipster is backing over 3.5 goals and Spain to beat Nigeria at 6/4.

The long shot: Ideye to score any time in Nigeria v Spain – 9/2

Nigeria manager Keshi is likely to stick with Brown Ideye after his impressive display up front against Uruguay. The Dynamo Kyiv striker teed up John Obi Mikel for their only goal in the last game. The Tipster’s long shot is Ideye to score against Nigeria at 9/2.
