Tottenham transfers: Leandro Damiao says Internacional have not received any offers for the Brazil international
Leandro Damiao insists he hasn’t received any offers to leave Internacional and doesn’t anticipate quitting the Brazilian outfit in the near future.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to Tottenham Hotspur after coming close to sealing a move to White Hart Lane in two previous transfer windows.
The Brazil international, who is currently on international duty with his country at the Confederations Cup, is also attracting interest from Ligue 1 runners-up Marseille.
André Villas-Boas is reportedly keen to add further depth to his squad after Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defore struggled with both form and injuries last season.
But the South American forward is adamant that neither Spurs – nor any other club – have lodged a bid for the Internacional star and he doesn’t expect to leave any time soon.
“I am an Internacional player until 2015 and I am happy,” he told Globo Esporte.
“I will leave Internacional one day but there is no offer today and maybe there won’t be any tomorrow. I am calm.”
Damiao, whose current contract is set to expire in 2017, has scored over 80 goals in 147 games for Internacional.
