Steve Clarke has confirmed that West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Chelsea forward Victor Moses.

The Nigeria international has been linked with a move away from the Blues in recent weeks after the Europa League winners signed André Schürrle and Willian during the summer transfer window.

Moses, who started his career at Crystal Palace, has scored 10 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for the Blues following his £9m switch to Stamford Bridge from Wigan Athletic in 2012.

Liverpool have been linked with a swoop for the forward, but ex-Reds assistant Clarke has expressed an interest in bringing the out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder to the Hawthorns before next week’s transder deadline.

“Moses is available to come out and he’s a player that we would be interested in,” Clarke told the Birmingham Mail.

“But I can’t say that I’m confident in landing him or any player at the moment.”
