Santi Cazorla says he is close to bring available for Arsenal again following his lay-off with an ankle injury
Santi Cazorla says he is close to bring available for Arsenal again following his lay-off with an ankle injury.
It is understood that the 28-year-old could be included in the squad for this weekend’s clash against Norwich City at Emirates Stadium.
And Cazorla has revealed that he is edging ever closer to making his comeback following his return to full training this week.
“I’m not far away from being free from pain and discomfort,” Cazorla told AS.
“It was a blow when I learned I’d have to miss a month of football, but that’s when you need to be patient. However, I want to recover before the scheduled time.”
He added: “Experience is key and you have to pay attention to what the doctors tell you and what your body is telling you.”
Meanwhile, Theo Walcott is also nearing a return after the England international underwent abdominal surgery. The winger could be available for next week’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.
