David Luiz has heaped praise on Liverpool’s Brazilian duo Lucas Leiva and Philippe Coutinho ahead of Sunday’s showdown at Chelsea.

Luiz is set to line up against his Brazil team-mates when the Reds take on Jose Mourinho’s side in west London.

And the 26-year-old defender was full of praise for the two midfielder following Liverpool’s impressive start to the season under Brendan Rodgers.

“There are a couple of Brazilians in every team, we all like to play football,” Luiz told Chelsea’s website. “And Liverpool have Lucas and Coutinho, who are amazing players and good friends.

“They are both having a great season and I’m happy for them because I know hard life can be in the Premier League.

“It will be a fantastic game for everyone to watch. Of course we just want to win and push hard to show our power and get closer to the top of the table. I hope we can produce another great exhibition and we can win.”
