Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is confident that Arsenal will win their next “nice game” against Fulham to keep their Premier League title bid on course.

The Gunners maintained their position at the top of the English top flight thanks to a battling 2-1 win at Aston Villa on Monday night.

I’m just happy to be back and now I’ve just got to work on my fitness in training

The England international made his first appearance since the opening day of the season at Villa Park after being sidelined in August with a knee injury.

And the 20-year-old is already looking forward to the visit of the Cottagers on Saturday.

“It’s a nice game for us at home,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told Arsenal’s website. “Fulham are another team that have a lot of skilful players but we’ve been doing well at home so it’s always a nice game at the Emirates.

“But we need to have the right preparation, the right commitment and hopefully we can get the win.

“I’m just happy to be back and now I’ve just got to work on my fitness in training and make the most of it when I get my chance in the team.

“That’s the thing I’m concentrating on at the moment, helping Arsenal do as well as they can.”
