Olivier Giroud needs to step up for Arsenal following Theo Walcott’s injury, and the Tipster is backing the Frenchman to find the net at Villa Park.

Our resident betting expert is also backing Christian Benteke to score in what should be an entertaining edition of Monday Night Football.

However the Tipster fancies Arsenal to win by a single goal, whilst he thinks the north London side may have to come from behind to seal three points.

Giroud to score any time in Aston Villa v Arsenal – 6/5

Giroud should be fit to return to the Arsenal starting line-up after missing last week’s FA Cup clash against Tottenham due to illness. The France international has scored eight goals in 18 Premier League games. The 27-year-old started his impressive early-season run with the consolation goal in a 3-1 loss to Villa on the opening day of the season. Giroud to score any time is 6/5.

Arsenal to beat Aston Villa by a single goal – 12/5

This could be a tough fixture for the Gunners against a Villa side still smarting from their FA Cup exit. In their last Premier League outing away from the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal edged to a 1-0 win against Newcastle United at St James’ Park. In addition, the north London side’s last away win at Villa Park was a 2-1 victory in 2011. The Tipster is backing Arsenal to win by a single goal at 12/5.

Both teams to score in Aston Villa v Arsenal – 8/11

Despite their recent woes, Villa have still managed to score in four of their last five games in all competitions. With Gabriel Agbonlahor and Benteke both fit, the home side have plenty of firepower in their ranks, too. The Gunners have scored eight goals in their last four outings. So, the Tipster fancies both teams to score at 8/11.

Benteke to score any time in Aston Villa v Arsenal – 23/10

Benteke and Arsenal have experienced different fortunes since that opening day upset. The Belgian scored twice at The Emirates and was widely tipped to build on his impressive first season in the Premier League. However Benteke has suffered from injury and a loss of form since that outing. He has managed four goals in 15 games but perhaps facing Arsenal can trigger a revival! The Tipster reckons Benteke to score is worth a punt at 23/10.

The long shot: Arsenal to come from behind and beat Villa – 8/1

If memories of August come back to haunt Arsenal, Arsene Wenger’s men could make a slow start to this Monday night clash. The Gunners showed great resilience to come from a goal behind to beat West Ham Untied 3-1 over the festive period. The Tipster expects Arsenal to win, and his long shot is the north London side to come from behind and secure three points at 8/1.
