The Gunners face a Liverpool side that have been in merciless mood at L4 this season, winning 10 of their 12 top-flight home games, including victories over Everton and Manchester United.

Arsenal have the chance to move five points clear of Chelsea and Manchester City before the second and third-placed sides play later on Saturday.

But Parlour, who won the Premier League title three times, reckons Arsenal would settle for a valuable point against their top-four rivals.

“I would settle for a point now. I’m sure Arsene Wenger would as well,” Parlour told the Daily Mail.

“They beat Brendan Rodgers’ side at home, so they know what they’re capable of. But Liverpool are having a great season. Reaching the top four is vital for them.”

Parlour also expressed his concerns about Arsenal’s ability to limit the impact of Liverpool’s in-form striker partnership, Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.

“It’s going to be tricky with the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.,” Parlour added. “They are so fired up at the moment and are playing so well. Steven Gerrard sitting a little deeper presents different problems.”
