Liverpool are aiming to end their winless run at home against Arsenal on Saturday, and the Tipster is backing Daniel Sturridge to continue his excellent form and score at Anfield.

Our resident betting expert is backing both Liverpool and Arsenal to score, but expects the Reds to beat the Gunners in a mouth-watering clash at the top of the table.

In fact, the Tipster is predicting that Liverpool will be winning at half-time and full-time, with his long shot the home side to score their fifth penalty of the season.

Sturridge to score any time in Liverpool v Arsenal – 6/4

The 24-year-old England striker is currently on a six-game scoring streak in all competitions since returning from injury. Sturridge has netted seven goals in his last six outings, taking his tally to 17 goals in 19 appearances. The Tipster reckons the Liverpool forward to find the back of the net against Arsenal is a no brainer at 6/4.

Liverpool to beat Arsenal – 9/2*

Whilst Liverpool haven’t beaten Arsenal at Anfield since a Champions League triumph in 2008, the Tipster fancies the Reds on Saturday. Brendan Rodgers’ men have been almost imperious at Anfield this season, winning 31 points from a possible 36. The Reds have beaten Everton and Manchester United at their home ground, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Spurs still to visit. Liverpool have won eight of their last nine games at Anfield, and they’re definitely worth backing at enhanced odds of 9/2* to make it nine out of 10 on Saturday.

Both teams to score in Liverpool v Arsenal – 1/2

Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the most attacking-minded sides in the Premier League, so the Tipster expects goals. Liverpool have scored two goals or more in eight of their last nine home games, whilst the Gunners have found the back of the net at least twice in their last five Premier League outings. Furthermore, Arsenal have scored seven goals in their last four clashes against Liverpool. Both teams to score is a great shout at 1/2.

Liverpool winning half-time and full-time v Arsenal – 5/2

Liverpool have made a blistering start to their Anfield games in the Premier League this season. In fact, they have been winning at half-time and full-time in eight of their last nine top-flight games. Arsenal have lost twice on the road this season, and on both occasions the Gunners were trailing at the break at City and United before going on to lose. The Tipster likes the look of Liverpool to be winning at half-time and full-time at 5/2.

The long shot: Liverpool to score a penalty – 13/2

With the tricky Luis Suarez coming up against Per Mertesacker, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the Uruguayan managed to win himself a penalty on Saturday. Steven Gerrard has scored four times from the spot this season, whilst Sturridge spurned a spot-kick effort in a 4-0 win over Everton last month. The Tipster’s long shot is Liverpool to score a penalty at 13/2.
