Tony Pulis refused to get carried away with Crystal Palace’s victory over West Bromwich Albion – despite seeing his side climb up to 13th in the Premier League.

On-loan Blackpool man Tom Ince found the net 14 minutes into his Selhurst Park debut, before fellow new arrival Joe Ledley headed home from a corner in the 27th minute.

Thievy Bifouma pulled one back for the visitors seconds after half-time but Marouane Chamakh sealed the win when he converted his penalty after being fouled by Ben Foster.

The result left Pulis’s men three points clear of the drop zone, but the former Stoke boss is determined to keep his side concentrated on the task at hand.

“We’ve got a very, very tough run of games coming up, so the important thing is to stay focused,” Pulis said.

“I’ve managed in the Premier League for six years now and the one thing you must never do is get complacent.

“I’ll be watching Everton tomorrow – they are our next opponents and we know how tough that is going to be. Then we follow that up with Manchester United at home.”

Pulis added: “I’m pleased for the group. It’s the group that’s taken us to where we are at the minute and it’s the group that will decide whether we stay in the Premier League or not.”
