Jordan Henderson has warned Liverpool not to underestimate Fulham ahead of their trip to Craven Cottage on Wednesday night.

Liverpool, who are currently fourth in the table, were emphatic 5-1 winners against Premier League title contenders Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday.

Fulham are next and it will be a very difficult game

But England international Henderson doesn’t want the Reds to get complacent ahead of a potential banana skin against the Cottagers, who secured a 2-2 draw at Manchester United this weekend.

“It was a fantastic performance, especially against Arsenal, who were top of the league. I’m sure they would have wanted to win the game. But our performance was fantastic and it was one of the best so far,” Henderson told Liverpool’s website.

“Fulham are next and it will be a very difficult game. They are fighting. So I’m sure that it will be very difficult. But we’ve got to take this performance and this confidence down to Craven Cottage and hopefully we can do that.”

Henderson feels Liverpool are irrepressible if the Reds are playing at their best, as they did against title-chasing Arsenal.

“When we’re on it and we’re playing really well, I think we can beat anyone,” added Henderson. “I’ve said that before. So we’ve got to make sure that we’re consistent with that and we do that every single week and you never know where we can finish.”
