Anderson has reiterated that he wants to remain at Fiorentina beyond his current loan spell.

The Brazil international made his debut in a 1-0 loss to Cagliari on Saturday after sealing a move to La Viola from Manchester United during the January transfer window.

Even though the contract is only on loan, I want to stay for a long time

Anderson was out-of-favour under new United manager David Moyes this season, with the 25-year-old midfielder making just two starts in the Premier League.

And the former Porto playmaker is desperate to secure regular first-team football at Fiorentina and remain at the Italian club for a “long time.”

“I have to play and have my chance,” Anderson told the Sun. “It is better for me at Fiorentina. The manager wants me and has shown his trust. I can show him my football.

“Even though the contract is only on loan, I want to stay for a long time.”

Earlier this week, Anderson claimed “lots of players want out” at the defending English champions after a 2-1 loss to Stoke City last weekend.

“I’m sure that lots of players want out, especially players like myself and Nani who have been in Manchester for seven or eight years,” Anderson is quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News.

“Manchester United is a huge club, a club that does everything for its players but sometimes a footballer wants to leave just to experience a different way to play football, to learn something as well.”
