The 22-year-old suffered a hairline foot fracture in England’s 1-0 victory over Denmark last month, with the Gunners star not featuring for his club side since a 1-0 loss to Stoke City on 1 March.
And the England international, who is expected to be part of Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad, gave his Facebook fans an update on his rehabilitation from the injury.
Wilshere said: “First time in boots for 6 weeks!!! Great feeling! #WilshIsComingBack.”
On Monday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that the Gunners are monitoring Wilshere “day-by-day” as the playmaker aims to be fit for the end of the season and the summer’s World Cup.
“Jack Wilshere should start to jog this week. It is all going well, but we have to monitor him now day-by-day.
“I think the next three weeks will be very important for him.”
Quizzed if Wilshere would play again this season, Wenger said: “Yes.”
