Jordan Henderson is suspended for the next three Premier League games after receiving a straight red in injury-time of their 3-2 victory over Manchester City last weekend.
I am sure we have a good enough squad to deal with these kind of situations
Sturridge had to be replaced in the second half of the win against the Citizens due to a hamstring injury, with the striker set to undergo a fitness test ahead of the Canaries clash.
And Liverpool goalkeeper Mignolet is adamant that there is enough quality in the squad to fill the duo’s void at Carrow Road.
“I am sure we have a good enough squad to deal with these kind of situations,” Mignolet told the ECHO.
“Look at how Joe performed when he came off the bench against Manchester City.
“It was a difficult moment in the game at 2-2. It was tough to be a substitute coming on at that stage but he really helped the team out.
“He did a good job just as Lucas did away to West Ham the week before.
“Victor also helped us when he came on against City – not only offensively but also in defence.
“The manager has options.”
Liverpool confirmed that Sturridge would be given “every opportunity” to prove his fitness ahead of the game against Norwich.
A Liverpool statement read: “Liverpool have confirmed they’ll give Daniel Sturridge every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Norwich City.
“The striker had to be withdrawn in the 66th minute of last weekend’s 3-2 win over Manchester City.
“Sturridge has since underwent further assessment with the club’s medical team at Melwood and a small strain was detected following a scan.
“The 24-year-old will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road.”
Liverpool, who are two points clear of Jose Mourinho’s side at the top of the table face Norwich, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United in their final four Premier League games.
