Louis Saha fears that missing out on Champions League qualification could severely hamper Manchester United’s transfer plans this summer.

The Red Devils look set to miss out on a place in Europe’s elite club competition, with David Moyes’ side currently seventh in the Premier League and 10 points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

And former United striker Saha admits that the Premier League side could struggle to attract star names to Old Trafford as a result of potentially missing out on a top-four finish.

“It is a huge blow,” Saha told talkSPORT. “People were not expecting something like this to happen.

“It is now about making sure the transfer market is well worked.

“We all know money is very important in terms of finding the right players and when you don’t appear in the Champions League, it is a big blow.”
