The Frenchman also revealed that Aaron Ramsey is ready to start the cup clash. Mesut Ozil could make his comeback from a hamstring injury next weekend, and Laurent Koscielny remains sidelined.

“Ramsey is ready to start against Wigan. Certainly I will start him because Mathieu Flamini is suspended. Ozil could be back next Saturday, Koscielny could be back for Tuesday,” Wenger told reporters.

“We have a lot of uncertainties. Gibbs, Rosicky and Oxlade-Chamberlain are all doubts.

“[Lukasz] Fabianski will start in goal. It’s a decision that has been made for a long time.”

Wenger, whose side have dropped to fourth in the Premier League table in recent weeks, continued: “We want to win the semi-final and it’s important to focus on that. We respect Wigan highly.

“I’m expecting everyone to contribute because we have a lot of experience. We have played great games in the FA Cup.

“We are still in a position where we can have a good season and that’s what we’re focusing on.”
