Santi Cazorla has hinted that he could leave Arsenal to join Atletico Madrid this summer.

The 29-year-old playmaker, who is currently on Spain duty at the World Cup in Brazil, made 47 appearances for the north London club last term and scored seven goals.

I’ve told my agents not to tell me anything if an offer comes in

And although the midfielder does not want to discuss his future until after the tournament, he has suggested that he would be open to a move to the Spanish champions.

“When the World Cup is over, I’ll start thinking about my situation,” said Cazorla, who made nine assists for Arsenal last term.

“I don’t want to be thinking about it right now and I’ve told my agents not to tell me anything if an offer comes in.

“But I know a few of the Atletico players – [Diego] Godin, Juanfran – and I know the side well from when I was playing the Spanish league.

“But until the tournament is over, I won’t know if the rumours are true or not.”
