It is shaping up to be a truly intriguing Formula 1 season, with Mercedes duo Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton currently topping the drivers’ standings as we head into July.

The pair’s intense rivalry has come close to boiling over in recent months, most notably after the Monaco Grand Prix.

Rosberg currently leads the way at the top of the standings, 29 points ahead of Hamilton. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo is third ahead of Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso.

Mercedes continued their domination with a sixth one-two finish of the season in Austria earlier this month, with Rosberg coming out on top.

Silverstone hosts its 50th British Grand Prix this weekend and Hamilton will be desperate to rediscover his winning form – exactly six years after he delighted the home crowd by winning the prestigious race.

“That has to be one of the best moments of my career,” said Hamilton. “I loved raising that gold trophy in front of the home crowd and I’m determined to get my hands on it again this year.”

The Silverstone circuit is known as ‘the home of British motorsport’ and plays a large part in the sport’s history.

So with plenty at stake heading into what is sure to be an intriguing race, why not book your tickets for the British Grand Prix today?
