The Borussia Dortmund forward has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Newcastle United in recent months after impressing at the Bundesliga runners-up last term.
Aubameyang, who moved to Dortmund from Saint-Etienne last summer, scored 16 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s men in his first season at the German club.
The Gabon international started his career at seven-time European Cup winners AC Milan but joined Saint-Etienne in 2010 after a series of loan spells at French clubs Dijon and Lille.
Roma has been touted as a possible destination for the striker this summer, but his agent hinted that Aubameyang will remain at Dortmund for the foreseeable future.
“[Walter] Sabatini [the sporting director of Roma] likes him,” Damiani told Sky Italia.
“But it is very difficult to take him away from Dortmund as he has long contract with the club.”
However, the agent added: “However, he wants to go back to Italy.”
