Marouane Fellaini has vowed to fight for his Manchester United future after a difficult first season at Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old midfielder put thoughts of his dismal United spell to the back of his mind and inspired a Beglium comeback as he scored his country’s first goal in a 2-1 win against Algeria.

Fellaini’s former Everton manager David Moyes was sacked by the 20-time English champions in April after the Scot signed the giant midfielder in a £27.5m deal from the Toffees last summer.

New United head coach Louis van Gaal is yet to give any indication of his plans for Fellaini, and the Belgian is hoping to impress the Dutchman and salvage his career at Old Trafford.

“I don’t play here for a transfer. We’ll see with the new coach, but I still feel good at United,” Fellaini is quoted as saying Daily Star.

Fellaini made one assist in 16 Premier League appearances last season.
