Goran Pandev wants to finish his career at Napoli despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur, according to the playmaker’s agent.

The Macedonia international has been touted as a surprise target for new Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, who took over at White Hart Lane last month.

He considers Napoli to be his home, so it would be painful if he had to leave the club

Carlo Pallavicino

Pandev is one of the most experienced campaigners in Serie A after a career which has seen the 30-year-old win Seria A, the Champions League and four Coppa Italias.

But Pandev’s agent Carlo Pallavicino claimed that the Napoli midfielder is happy in Naples and wants to stay if he remains part of Rafael Benitez’s pans for the club.

“I would hate it if Pandev were to leave Napoli. He considers Napoli to be his home, so it would be painful if he had to leave the club,” Pallavicino told Radio CRC.

“The idea has been to end his career at Napoli, but if things change, he might consider a move abroad. However, the team have not called me and this bodes well.”
