The world’s biggest darts tournament kicks off this December. Fans can begin to get their fancy dress and groups ready for one of the best atmospheres in the world of sport by snapping up tickets as soon as they go on sale.
Last year’s tournament was nothing short of spectacular, as Phil Taylor crashed out in one of the biggest upsets seen at Alexandra Palace when he was beaten by 4-3 by Michael Smith in the second round.
Michael van Gerwen, who was defeated by Taylor in the 2012 final, is the defending champion after the Dutchman beat Peter Wright 7-4 to become the youngest PDC world champion, aged 24.
“It’s so difficult to win this title and there was more pressure on me this year than last year,” said Van Gerwen after his triumph back in January. “It means so much for me,
“It’s unbelievable, a dream come true. I’m so glad I won but all credit to Peter, he did well and put me under pressure.”
Tickets for the World Darts Championship will go on sale from 10:00BST on Monday 23 June at viagogo. Click here to book your place for you and your friends at Ally Pally today.
