Emre Can has set his sights on winning the Premier League title with Liverpool next season after completing his transfer to Anfield.

The German youth international sealed a switch from Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday to become the Reds’ third signing of the summer after Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana.

And the 20-year-old feels that Brendan Rodgers’ men are in a good position to improve on their second-placed finish last season in the 2014-15 campaign.

“I want to be a Premier League champion next season,” Can told LFCTV. “Yes, I believe we can go one better. We will give it our best in order to finish on top of the table.

“We came second in last year’s Premier League, the best league in the world, so we don’t have to hide from anybody.”

He added: “We will give it our best in order to finish on top of the table next season.”
